In each show, 8 year-old Martha plays hooky to host a talk show in front of a live audience (her stuffed animals and you!). Join Martha and The Pillowcase Band for an hour of nonstop too-cool-for-school tomfoolery with her puppets Old Sizzle, the partially deaf elephant, Bunny, the sparkly cactus suffering through her 20-something’s, and Machiatto, the tap dancing marionette. Imagine the charm of Lamb Chop, the romp of Pee Wee, and the bustiness of The View.

Ridgefield Middle School Talent Nite is the play you’d wanna go see when you’re just ready for a mood lift. GoHorses (Dylan Marron + Jo Firestone) take on the roles of seventeen characters in a very - shall we say E-for-Effort - middle school talent show. Go relive the terror that is middle school by grabbing a beer at the Peoples Improv Theater bar and sitting down to a show the Washington Post describes as “hilarious...punctuated by some overwhelming humiliation.”

PUNDERDOME 3000 brings the groans to Southpaw on Monday, January 9. Doors open at 7:30pm, and the show begins at around 8-ish.
Hosted by a father and daughter pair, this round-robin pun competition brings the wordiest of the nerdiest head-to-head for the ultimate title of PUNMASTER. Get there early if you want to compete — the first 24 to sign up will get the chance.

TONIGHT! From 8-10pm, there’s gonna be some LIVE COMEDY going down at the Larry Lawrence Bar! The Larry Lawrence Bar is this hidden lil’ gem where you have to go through two heavy wooden doors and down a dimly lit hallway before you find that golden comedy nugget jiggling inside. But the journey is worth it. Featuring some of my very favorites in the oh so vast NYC comedy scene.
